On August 29, Takuma Fujisaki’s solo exhibition “MOLnarrative” officially opened at the GINZA ATRIUM of Ginza Tsutaya Bookstore, running through September 15. As his largest pipe cleaner art solo exhibition to date, the show brings together the complete trajectory of his 18-year dialogue with the medium of pipe cleaners.
MOLnarrative—”Pipe Cleaner Narrative”—is a visual narrative woven from the material of pipe cleaners, belonging to a single creator. Those slightly twisted worlds that feel as if they’ve been seen somewhere before carry a strange sense of déjà vu. The core charm of pipe cleaner art lies precisely in that familiar, “seen-somewhere-before” quality, and the joy that wells up from its vivid colours.

Known as the “pipe cleaner master,” Takuma Fujisaki is widely recognised for his signature pipe cleaner art creations. This exhibition not only presents pipe cleaner sculptures and paintings but also features two concurrent pop-up shops within the store. The MOGOLS POPUP SHOP in GINZA appears in the display area in front of Starbucks, bringing soft vinyl toys and merchandise from overseas distributor ARTOX and Kagawa-based TOYTOYTOY. The GINZA ART SQUARE showcases collaborative works with Nikkan Typo, the MOLHANA collaboration project, and a picture book project with Nakano Auto.
As a new release to coincide with the Ginza event, PINK PANTS debuts in an all-new black colourway. Building on the signature multi-coloured pipe cleaner texture of previous versions, this piece is presented in an all-black finish, adding a rare cool expression to this pipe cleaner universe.

The exhibition runs from August 29 to September 15, 2026, at Ginza Tsutaya Bookstore GINZA ATRIUM (GINZA SIX 6F), open daily from 11:00 to 20:00 (closing at 18:00 on the final day), with free admission. When the soft texture of pipe cleaner art meets the three-dimensional language of soft vinyl toys in Ginza, the “déjà vu” narrative that Takuma Fujisaki has woven over 18 years awaits every visitor who steps inside.
