Jhené Aiko has finally landed the first chart-topping album of her career — her new release Westside Whimsy debuts at No. 1, topping the chart revealed on September 26.
The album earned 74,000 equivalent album units in the week ending September 17, of which streaming contributed 70,000 — equivalent to 71.33 million on-demand plays, directly topping the streaming albums chart; physical sales were 3,500, ranking 25th on the physical chart; track equivalent units were 500. The album was released September 11 and announced September 8, with collaborators including Ab-Soul, Larry June, Kendrick Lamar, Ohma and Tyga.
It also brings several records: it’s the first album by a female R&B artist to top the chart in 2026, and the first R&B release to sit at No. 1 since SZA’s SOS in May 2025. It’s her sixth top-10 entry; her previous studio album was 2020’s Chilombo, which was nominated for a Grammy for Album of the Year.
