If you’re in the Bay and haven’t checked out Jesse Hernandez’s ‘El Templo Teotl’ installation @ The Oakland Museum of California Art, Saturday (10.23) from 1 to 4 during the museum’s annual Days of the Dead Community Celebration is a perfect opportunity. General admission to the museum includes the celebration which features demos of tradition Meso-American arts and foods, live music and dance performances, plus a mercado stocked with Days of the Dead merchandise and authentic Mexican food from local vendors.
