Well… check out an early preview of the slick 7.5" Dr. soPHDr. vinyl figure brought to you by Dr. Romanelli and the japanese boutique, SOPHNET. The design concept from Nate Cabrera plays with the Doctor imagery (including an Rx bag) but really hits its stride with the remix concept through the inclusion of the scissors. The scissors conjure up the whole slicing and dicing that is remixing and are IMO the most visually striking element of the toy which was sculpted by Nate Cabrera and SOS Studios. In addition, the scissors are pretty versatile in terms of displaying the figure – open/closed etc. This first edition is limited to 500 pieces produced and manufactured by Span of Sunset. At this point pricing and release date are still TBA. Once it drops, Dr. soPHDr. will be available first from SOPHNET (Japan) and subsequently from Colette (Paris) and Span of Sunset (Los Angeles).
