Rivet Gallery will release Daniel Elson’s hand-cast Heavy Hearts metal figures (ed of 10, 2.75” $125) @ this weekend’s Dragon*Con in Atlanta. While more and more artists are creating their own DIY resin figures, we’re intrigued by Daniel’s decision to work in metal (pewter alloy). He’s one of the few doing it outside of the metal masters, Fully Visual. It’s a nice match thematically for the “heavy” heart concept and is a nice change of pace from resin. The more variety in DIY, the better. Bring on the metal and wood.
