What’s a Gwin? It’s a brand new penguin vinyl toy from October Toys. The shape is based on the original "Tux" penguin (Linux Mascot) designed by Larry Ewing. What a cool idea and sweet inspiration! Series 1 features nine designs including those from Mimic, Doctor A, Nixon Scratches, idlechimp, Eric Treadway and SpookyAMD. Not only is the shape interesting, I’m a huge fan of both Mimic and Doctor A so its doubly sweet! While series 1 won’t drop until late August, it will be on display at SDCC (July 14th – 17th) in the Tower Records booth (#4729). The Gwin’s are available for pre-order directy on the website at $8 each or $64 for the full set of nine, so check ’em out!
