This summer, Jo Malone London brings the winds and salt of the Celtic Sea to Tokyo. Using its beloved fragrance “Wood Sage & Sea Salt” as an olfactory compass, the brand guides visitors through an immersive summer experience called Sea Salt Adventure, set in Jingumae, Shibuya.
The space is designed to simulate a coastal shoreline, enclosed by artificial reef-like structures. The crisp essence of sea salt permeates throughout — sound, visuals, and fragrance unfold in layers, awakening each of the five senses in turn. Guests can try the brand’s bath and body care collection on-site, experiencing how the oceanic notes linger on the skin.
Notably, the event also introduces a new 2026 summer fragrance: Sea Salt & Bergamot Cologne. The citrus notes of bergamot cut through the summer haze first, followed by sea salt that lends a fluid texture and a sense of cleanliness, with driftwood grounding the base like an open parasol. The inspiration draws from the swells of the Celtic Sea and the raw landscape of the British coastline.
The setting also makes room for photo opportunities and interactive moments. Stepping stones evoking a rocky shoreline serve as the main photo spots, and seaside adventure-themed interactive games are available on-site.
